Eagle Scout Promise

I reaffirm my allegiance to the three promises of the Scout Oath.
I thoughtfully recognize and take upon myself the obligations and responsibilities of the rank of Eagle Scout.
On my honor, I will do my best to make my training an example of my rank and my influence count strongly for better citizenship, in my home, in my community and in my contacts with other people.
To this I pledge my sacred honor.

Congratulations to Troop 17's newest Eagle Scouts

Ryan Gillogly with Scoutmaster David Souza and Committee Chair Matt Griffin

Ryan Gillogly completed his Eagle Scout Leadership Project at the Marie Streese Conservation Area.  His project improved trail accessibility by laying down boardwalks over wet areas, and created bird watching areas (including benches and birdhouses). 

Ryan is a senior at Mansfield High School.  He is the band’s drum major, president of the Tri-M Music Honor Society, and is active in MHS’s concert band, jazz band and the winter percussion ensemble.  He also serves in the Order of the Arrow as the Tulpe Lodge Annawon Chapter Secretary, and continues for a third year as a senior staff member for the Camp Norse National Youth Leadership Training course.  He is looking at pursuing an education in Biomedical Engineering.

Congratulations, Ryan, on achieving Scout BSA's highest rank.
