Patrick Dalton earned his Eagle Scout rank after a lengthy audit of his qualifications at a Board of Review on August 15, 2018.
Somehow this active scout found time between being Lodge Chief for the Order of the Arrow's Tulpe Lodge (which has over 1000 members), working on Camp Staff at Camp Yawgoog, playing in Mansfield High School's Marching band and Percussion Ensemble, and being an active Senior at MHS to finish the requirements for the rank of Eagle Scout.
Patrick's project benefitted the Easton YMCA, where he & his team refurbished a garden making it a place of outdoor learning. for kids His team first hauled tons of dirt and peastone to make a suitable base for the area. To facilitate the work, they also had to move the existing (and massive) raised beds, as well. They then built benches, platforms, a trellis and outdoor chalkboards, so that the area would be an inviting space to help children learn about gardening.
Congratulations, Patrick, on achieving Boy Scouting's highest rank.
