Curtis O'Regan became our troop's 82nd Eagle Scout rank on April 18, 2018.
Curtis proved that Eagle Scout Leadership Projects don't have to be local, as he did his project in the heartland of America in Dayton, Ohio. Curtis and his team cleaned and restored headstones in the historic Woodland Cemetery and Arboretum.
Woodland is one of the nations five oldest rural garden cemeteries, and is the final resting place of some famous people - Wilbur & Orville Wright, Erma Bombeck & Poet John Lawrence Dunbar. Curtis's project will help to keep this national treasure available for others in the future.
Interestingly, former-Scoutmaster Mr. Gillogly's first hike as a Boy Scout (of Troop 85 in Beavercreek, Ohio) was to this very cemetery. Thanks, Curtis for helping keep old scouting memories alive!
Congratulations, Curtis, on achieving Boy Scouting's highest rank.
