The Troop will once again be doing our part to make Mansfield Beautiful by participating in the Great American Cleanup of Mansfield. Yes, the main event was last weekend, but a Scout always does his part, so we are joining in a week late.
Please meet at the Congregational Church at 8:15am on Saturday, May 4th. We will be getting our cleanup assignments from the town's coordinator, and proceeding to the site(s) assigned. We expect to be done with our portion of the cleanup at 11:30am. Parents are welcome to participate, along with our Scouts and Adult leaders. It is highly suggested to wear work clothes, and to bring gloves, as we will be handling litter. A water bottle (filled, of course) is alos recommended. ![]() Three will be a pack inspection for the Treasure Valley outing at the Troop Meeting on April 22. All Scouts attending the campout should be prepared with their packs. Be sure that you have all the items needed for this trip. The packing list for the trip can be found in the Downloads page on the Troop website. Recall that we are in the shoulder season between Winter and Spring, and that the temperatures can vary widely from freezing to the 70's. Pack clothing accordingly. Remember, layers are your friend ![]() At the April 8 Court of Honor, we welcomed our new Troop Leadership. Patrick C. was inducted as the new Senior Patrol Leader (SPL), and he, in turn, inducted his Asst. Senior Patrol Leader (ASPL) Eric S. Also installed were members of the Patrol Leaders Council (PLC): Patrol Leaders, Asst. Patrol Leaders and Troop-level staff postions (Scribe, QM, OA Representative). Congratulations, We know you are going to do a great job leading this Troop into it's 90th year! ![]() The new Annual Health and Medical form is available on the Troop website (see Downloads). A medical form is valid for 1 year. For Summer camp, a valid form WITH DOCTOR'S SIGNATURE, is required. Be prepared, and get your med forms into Mrs. Christo as soon as possible. ![]()
