A recent inventory of Troop gear has shown that a significant number of tents are missing from the Troop. We suspect that many may be left in garages/basements after Scouts have brought them home to clean & air out from camping trips. If you are holding a tent or any other Troop gear, please return as soon as possible to the Troop Quartermaster.
There will be a Troop Committee meeting during the Jan. 9 Troop meeting (i.e., 7pm). Please contact Mrs. Vickers with anyu agenda items.
The troop will be participating in Annawon Council’s Klondike Derby on Jan. 27-29 at Camp Norse in Plymouth. This will involve some fun skills training and winter camping in Adirondack shelters.
See the "Upcoming Events" tab to get details on the event (The Klondike Derby Guide is available now). Permission slips and camping fees no later than the Jan. 9 troop meeting so we can plan properly. Pack inspections will take place at the Jan. 23 troop meeting. As always, we’re also looking for drivers and/or chaperones, so please let Mr. Lucht know if you can help. The Troop is heading back to Mt. Cranmore, NH for another weekend of winter sports fun. This years ski trip should be the best yet and no price increase! With the Mountain Coaster,10 lane tubing park and the new Giant Alpine Swing there Mount Cranmore is even more fun for everyone! No matter if you are an experienced skier/border of its your first time, Cranmore has a program for every skill level, along with one of the best Learn-to-Ski/Board Programs in New England
In order to plan our numbers, you will need to have your form and $50 (non-refundable) deposit in by January 9th with the balance due by January 30th. See details on the Upcoming Events Page The tree lot schedule has been updated.
Please note that there are still two shifts that need to be filled -- this Wednesday, Dec 7, 6-9pm (Toxic Turtles and above) and Saturday Dec 17, 1-4pm (any scout). Also, please remember when trading shifts to copy me on the correspondence and to try to keep the trades between like sized scouts. |
