Please meet at noon on Sunday, November 11 at Memorial Park.
This is a Class A event
![]() Troop 17 will, once again, show our support for veterans by marching in the Nov 11 Veteran's Day parade. Please meet at noon on Sunday, November 11 at Memorial Park. This is a Class A event We need help transporting scouts for this weekend's trip!
At this point, we have 31 scouts going on the trip to the New England Air Museum, this weekend. However, we currently only have enough drivers for about half that many scouts. As they boys will be going to from Camp Greer to the museum on Saturday, we need people who are available to stay the weekend. Are any of you up for a weekend for a luxurious weekend of camping? I can assure you that will eat well (adults are cooking for adults, and the theme of the weekend is International Cooking, and the adults will be taking a culinary adventure to the Far East). The camp is a wonderful venue, with the Troop's campsite alongside a picturesque lake. Weather is looking to cooperate, as well. Please let Peter Lucht know as soon as possible, if you are available. Without additional transportation, we would be forced to look into alternatives, but it would help to control costs (and keep the Scout's program on-track) if we can get some more adults to attend. Note: We will be gathering at 4:30pm at the church for a 5pm departure. Please make sure that your Scout has eaten, or has a bagged dinner, as we will not be stopping for food on the way down to the Greer Scout Reservation. thank you, Pam Vickers p.s. - if your scout is attending, please make sure he brings his (preferably clean) Class A uniform to wear to the museum on Saturday. There WILL be a Troop meeting on Monday, November 12, despite the Veteran's Day holiday. The PLC feels that due to the meeting cancelled by the storm, this meeting is important to keep the planned program on-track.
See you there on Monday, November 12 (at the usual 7pm) ![]() Did you know that 10 Scouts from Troop 17 are in the play, Bye Bye Birdie, at QMS, as either cast or crew? Why not bring your Scout spirit and support your fellow troop-mates by attending? You're sure to have a great time! Evan C., Kyle S., Joseph C., Curtis O., Connor W., Drew D, RJ S., Sean L. , Anthony K. and Tim K., break a leg!!! [ed. note: that's in the theatrical sense. First Aid MB not required] Performances are Friday and Saturday evening (November 2 & 3) at 7:30PM and Sunday (November 4) at 2:00PM.
