Exactly 100 years ago today, on August 21, 1912, Arthur Eldred was informed that he was the Boy Scouts of America's very first Eagle Scout. Since then, the BSA has given the title of Eagle scout to over 2 mllion Scouts (that's out of over 115 million in the past 102 years).
