We had a great time a Wompatuck State Park in Hingham, MA this past weekend (June 12-23, 2013). The park has several campsites reserved just for Scout Troops, and they are very well maintained.
We spent Saturday at sea on the island ferries, then spent a few hours at Lovell's Island. There, we were treated to a tour by a DCR specialist, who talked a bit about the wildlife on (& around) the island and the history of the island. The Scouts then got to spend some time exploring the island, including its World War I and World War II battlements.
